Diane graduated from Marymount Manhattan with a BA in Dance in 1993 while on faculty at Steps on Broadway where she had been teaching dance/fitness since l984, ACE and AFAA certified.
Upon moving to Westchester in l999, she was employed by Equinox and taught Vinyasa Yoga there for many years.
In addition to teaching at The Temperance Center, Diane is a yoga therapist at Warburg, and teaches at Here & Now Yoga, & The Stretch.
Diane’s yoga practice began at home in the late sixties with the book “Hatha Yoga” by Swami Satchidananda which led her to classes at The Integral Yoga Institute on W. 13th St.
In 2002, she enrolled in Yoga Haven’s Teacher Training, received certification and followed through with studies in Restorative, Pre-Natal and the after-200 Hour Training.
In 2011 she was certified in Joseph A. Pilates Mat and in the spring of 2013, after intense practice, training, testing and auditioning, she earned her license as an Int’l bodyART Instructor.
The wellness and fitness industry has blessed Diane with rewarding experiences such as Fordham Prep’s Freshman Wellness Day (where she introduced over 100 students to yoga and meditation), Our Lady of Fatima’s After School Program, City of Hope Fundraisers for Aids Research, four consecutive years as an ECA Dance Fitness Presenter
and Master Class Choreographer for Fitness Instructors.
Diane continues her on-going training in LifeForce Yoga with Amy Weintraub for Anxiety, Depression, & Addiction. She is committed to the continuous study of yogic philosophy both on and off the mat and in sharing the tools that ease life’s challenges, addictions and mood swings.
